Singapore to hold food festival in September

Next month, Singapore will come alive with flavours and creativity as the Singapore Food Festival 2025 celebrates its 32nd edition.

Happening from Sept 4 to 24, the festival carries the theme, “Have You Eaten Yet?”. It aims to celebrate how food connects people through heritage, innovation and shared experiences across the country.

There are three main highlights: Food Is Art, The Long Table and Future Food.

Held from Sept 5 to 6, Food Is Art showcases gastronomy in the form of fashion and music, featuring famous Australian dessert chef Adriano Zumbo. Together with local chefs and creatives, the event includes live music, curated tastings and the launch of The Chef, a graphic novel inspired by Singapore’s hawker culture.

Meanwhile, The Long Table (Sept 12 to 13), will take place at Intercontinental Singapore and will serve up a five-course menu by chefs from various hotels around the country.

The dishes are set to highlight Singapore’s culinary heritage.

Future Food (Sept 19-20) spotlights sustainable dining and food-tech innovations, inviting people to reflect on how food can be both delicious and responsible.

Aside from these, festivalgoers can also enjoy the Food Truck City Tours at Mise En Place at Dempsey Hill and SG60-themed events, like heritage hawker trails, farm-to-table dining and seafood feasts.

Guo Teyi, director of leisure events at the Singapore Tourism Board, said in a press statement: “What makes Singapore Food Festival 2025 special is how we are transforming spaces into discovery points where visitors not just taste, but also actively participate in creating our food heritage.”
