Exquisite Cantonese dishes to usher in Lunar New Year

In anticipation of the Lunar New Year, Yun House at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, has curated a refined Cantonese Chinese New Year dining experience.

Guests can also enjoy festive menus at the hotel’s other restaurants – Curate and The Lounge.

The revelry continues with an exhilarating lion dance on Feb 24, the eighth day of the Chinese New Year.

This captivating performance promises prosperity and positivity to all in attendance.

Yun House is ushering in the Year of the Horse with exquisite set menus and a la carte selections, exquisitely prepared by executive Chinese chef Jimmy Wong.

Guests can choose from three set menus: Majestic, Auspicious and Yun House Fortuity, with an additional option provided for vegetarian diners.

Each set menu starts with one of Yun House’s signature yee sang, led by the Smoked Salmon and Black Truffle Yee Sang, a distinguished interpretation of the classic, where delicately smoked salmon is adorned with freshly shaved black truffle, symbolising abundance, prosperity and elevated fortune for the year ahead.

The Yun House Fortuity Set Menu unfolds with Steamed European Lobster with Garlic, Scallions and Hsinchu Rice Vermicelli, followed by Braised Premium Abalone with Winter Melon and Sun-dried Oyster, revered classic Cantonese dishes presented with refinement, honouring tradition with carefully selected ingredients.

As for a la carte options, there are delicacies crafted with prized ingredients from Malaysia and around the globe.

Standouts include the Grilled Korean Wagyu Beef with Honey-Pepper Glaze, Crab Claw in Singapore-style Chilli Sauce with Fried Mantou and Crispy Roasted London Duck with Herbal Essence.

The experience concludes with desserts such as Deep-fried Rice Cake with Sweet Potato and Yam, and Lemongrass Jelly with Bird’s Nest.

The set menus are priced at RM588+ per person (minimum four guests) for Majestic, RM888+ per person (minimum four guests) for Auspi­cious and RM1,388+ per person (minimum four guests) for Fortuity.

The vegetarian set is priced at RM338+ per person (available for individual guests).

A wide selection of a la carte dishes are also available.

The Chinese New Year menu is available for lunch and dinner until March 3.

Curate restaurant is offering a lavish buffet featuring a mix of traditional Chinese dishes and bold modern flavours.

The Chinese New Year menu is available until Feb 18 for lunch and dinner.

Depending on the date, prices range between RM190+ and RM288+ per adult for lunch and between RM240+ and RM258+ per adult for dinner.

The Lounge’s afternoon tea experience merges Chinese flavours with classic European elegance.

A selection of teas and fortune cookies completes the experience, priced at RM242+ per person. It is available until Feb 28.
