A 10-course tasting menu at Element by Westin Kuala Lumpur features a blend of French and Italian cuisines.
WEEKEND lunches in the city take on an artistic twist with a 10-course tasting menu themed “Fresco Affair”.
Available until June at Element by Westin Kuala Lumpur every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, the curated menu showcases a blend of French and Italian cooking techniques with subtle Malaysian influences.
The menu is designed by the restaurant’s culinary team to highlight thoughtful presentation and flavour balance.
The meal opens with fresh oysters paired with caviar and citrus balsamic vinaigrette.
This is followed by smoked salmon and compressed watermelon salad dressed in ginger apple cider with arugula, pickled onion, feta and pistachios for a dish that balances sweet and savoury flavours.
Next comes crispy battered calamari served with a bold jalapeno garlic aioli for a satisfying crunch, before diners are introduced to the Malaysian-inspired ginger flower-infused oxtail broth accompanied by toasted focaccia.
A palate cleanser of passionfruit sorbet, passionfruit pearls and a delicate charcoal tuille refreshes the taste buds before the main courses begin.
For mains, it is poached cod with beurre blanc, asparagus and caviar that comes first, followed by chicken ballotine with layers of chicken spinach mousse, carrot, mushroom, garlic butter broccolini, and cep mushroom jus.
The lobster spaghetti is served with pan-seared lobster and torched parmesan spaghetti, topped with additional shaved parmesan.
For the final savoury course, the grilled lamb rack delivers robust flavours with cauliflower mousseline, garlic confit and a rich lamb jus.
The experience concludes with baked Alaska, featuring a trio of flavoured ice-creams, mixed berry coulis and microgreens for a sweet and refreshing finish.
The “Fresco Affair” served from 12.30pm to 3pm is priced at RM258nett for two.
Additional wine deals are available (red or white wine for RM28nett per glass) for those who want to add another dimension to the tasting experience.
